Singles Success Stories

Yes people do meet and fall in love at Professionals Guild parties. And some people even end up getting married, as the stories below show. But we like to think our best success stories are the smaller ones. They consist of people going to parties and having a good time, instead of working or staying at home by watching TV. Another success might be somebody expanding their social contacts by one or two people, perhaps finding a new tennis partner. We hope that you will have some of these successes and then maybe achieve something like these stories if that is what you are looking for.

2005 New Sacramento Story:

Met Partner of My Dreams
Last year I received an email from you regarding a single event in Sacramento at Club Aqua. It was a fundraiser for singles. I met my new husband there. I have never been happier. I would never had known about this if I hadn't opened up that email!

Remove Me From Your Mailing List
Hello. I used to belong to this organization. Fortunately for me, I married last month! Please remove me from your mailing list. Thank you and good luck with this business; I have referred many people to your parties and have even volunteered as a greeter! Take care.

Thanks to you, after several tries and ok but not so succesful dates, I met the most wonderful guy on earth! It was when I was the least excited to go and for him too, it was the first time ever to hit singles event. He came unheartedly because his friend wanted to take him. You really never know who is waiting around the corner.

We will have our first year anniversary in April and so far it's been fantastic. Hope I don't have to do the search again.

Thank you again and good luck to all the singles who are searching for special someone.

Can a Prince Fall in Love Again After a Failed Marriage of Twenty Plus Years?
I met Cinderella at the Sacramento Hilton 2003 New Years Ball. The opportunity to meet someone new grew into love. Dorothy and I have known each other now for over a year and ecstatic to say that we are planning to be married in May 2005. I asked Dorothy to marry me at the stroke of midnight 2004 New Year's Eve Ball, on the same dance floor we met a year ago. You provided the balloons, I gave the ring and romance to my new wife to be. Dorothy is my best friend and I owe it all to you.

Thank you Professional's Guild for providing a classy atmosphere of events and a chance to meet one's partner that people often dream about. Our new relationship happened when we least expected it. Dorothy and I love to dance. The music is the best and the friends we've made have been great. We've attended every event over the past year and highly recommend what you do to our outside single friends. Thanks again...

New East Bay Story:
I had been going to the Professional Guild dances for about 4-5 years. My friends and I would meet to dance and just have fun. I wasn't really looking to meet anyone special but did enjoy going and mingling. I would see a lot of the same faces there each time. One special evening at the Pleasanton Hilton in November of 1999, a friend of mine introduced me to her friend. He said it was his first time there. We danced, went out the next week and have now been married for a year and a half.

You never know when there may be that new person that you have never seen before and may just turn out to be your MR. OR MRS. RIGHT!

New Sacramento Story:
I am getting married to a beautiful woman I met at last year's Professional's Guild UN-Valentines
Party.

Sacramento Story:
Forget what you've heard about singles parties, sometimes they do work!  Just one year ago today, Nicole, tired of sitting at home with her cat, and Richard, celebrating a birthday with a good friend, John, found their way to each other's heart.

The scene: Sacramento's Hilton Inn, the location of the Professionals Guild party.  It was the Summer Kickoff party, of course!  Not wanting to miss out on another chance for fun and adventure, Nicole gathered up her nerve and sashayed off into the warm summer night.

Richard, in the meantime, was looking forward to a relaxing evening at home. But John had other ideas.  "C'mon, it's my birthday!, he said.  So off they went, on this journey to a happy ending.

Upon entering this grand soiree, each person was given half  playing card and told to find the person in the room with the other half.  Nicole asked the host for the Queen of Hearts.  "No such card to be had," said he, "but here's another.  Hope you find the one you are looking for, though."

Ultimately, Richard and Nicole met, and talked and danced.  And several hours later, they figured they should lay their cards on the table.  Their cards did not match but Nicole declared Richard as her match.  Was it fate, kismet, or just the luck of the draw?  Who knows?  But, after a short, and very eventful courtship, their two hearts became one.

East Bay Story:
Please remove me from you mailing list as I no longer live in the Bay Area as I have since moved to Orange County. If you know of any singles organizations in this area I would appreciate hearing about them

Thanks so much for all of the events I have attended while in San Jose. I have enjoyed all of them and met many nice people.
(From Gary-San Jose-10/28/2005)

Hello.  I am writing to you to be removed from your mailing list.  I think you would enjoy knowing the reason for this.

I was married this September...my husband John and I met at one your functions at the Crown Plaza Hotel. It looking to be a boring night for me, as a nursing professional I rarely had time to attend social events, but another health professional and I decided to come that evening.  My husband and I finally met late that evening.

We thought you would enjoy this note.  Please remove our names from your lists.  I remember that evening that a lot of people had a hard time reaching out.  We feel very lucky!
